They said it's the most reliable OS they've ever put out. Do you think it's worth the money? It looks alot better than 98(what i have now)

i think dos is more reliable, but my freind has it and i guess he likes it. i would wait to get a new computer to get it though.

oh yeah, dos is one thing that you don't have with XP. kinda takes over your system.

it also has some type of big brother spyware, so if you dont send in the registration card, somehow they could throw you in jail

STAY AWAY FROM XP!!! it might be more reliable than 98 but its not worth the risk (sometimes it is a one-shot deal e.g. once you set up your hardware configiration you cant change it EVER) if you want to upgrade your OS go with 2000 pro (not ME) if its stability you want i recomend you get 2000 pro (about £300). Remember STAY AWAY FROM XP!!!

I hate XP. It looks like something for a 3 year old child to use. Go with 2000 or ME even.

yeah, my friend used to have Xp. USED to. He totally hates, and I've been told several times by different ppl, that its not an good OS for games.

man, my dad just bought it here today.
Not really applying to me, but I'm probably gonna get used to it...after some time, the interface is helluva ugly. Luckily u can change it.

i'm a mac user (feel free to laugh) so i hate M$ already, from what i've heard at college XP is more stable but still crap with loads of unnsuported cards, peripherals etc... get linux or 'borrow*' a copy from a friend so you dont line mr gate's pocket. And the design is a complete rip-off of mac os X (just like 95,98,2000 amd ME were of OS 1) *GBD don't support piracy, not that M$ would be able to find you  |
