Guitar_gurl and I went to the Incubus concert last... friday in Wellington.
We missed the supporting act because we really couldn't be stuffed waiting in line. When we got in, I was FRISKED. A little TOO thoroughly for my liking. Incubus came on stage a few minutes after we got in. (First song they played was Circles.)
It was fucking brilliant, except for that creepy guy that was around 6'5.

a woman frisked me. And the creepy 6'5 guy was just wandering around in the mosh. I'm not sure if he was drunk or just... naturally prone to violating sex crime laws.
A lot of people lost their shoes at the concert. This shoe got kicked up on stage and Brandon's like "Hey... I've got someone's shoe here. It's a big fucking shoe. You could put a banana in it, or some flowers... Or a foot."

is it just me or does brandon boyd seem to give off that gay aura a little bit?
i just got their dvd and he really acts and talks like it....
maybe thats why so many chicks wanna jump him

actually he was doing some gay hand gestures during a couple of songs
(guitar_gurl knows what i'm talking about)
I dont think girls want to jump Brandon because of the gay vibe.
FACT: most girls will always go after the frontman of any band.

he does those hand movements a lot. check out the drive video. i think it's cos he doesn't know what else to do with it as his other hand is holding the mic. his free hand seems to just go limp or something.
and i think i know why he did the little britney ditty at the concert. it might be cos she sung him happy b'day.
i read somwhere that they were on trl with carson daly and britney. here's what he said:
'We were doing the TRL thing,' says Incubus singer Brandon Boyd. 'Then Britney goes. 'Today is even more special, because it's Brandon's birthday.' A cake comes in, and she starts singing. It was surreal. I'll look back on it and say, 'She sang 'Happy Birthday' to me just like Marilyn (Monroe) did to JFK.' But when the audience kicked in, I could have sworn she was lip-syncing.'

And how bad was the Summer Jam? It was a complete let down after Incubus. Silverchair of course rocked... but... argh.. the rest of it was like a bad highschool dance. Boppers everywhere... with backpacks?!! There was no mosh and I have never seen so many messy buns and two gelled strands on so many heads in my life.
