I'm a guitarist, but I'm thinkin' of gettin either a Fender or a Warwick. Which brand/model should i get?!

if you are willing to spend serious cash, go for the Fender Stu Hamm Sig model...absolutely awesome. go to www.fender.com and check it out, its a fantastic bass. Can't say i know much 'bout warwicks but.

24 is best because you get 3 octaves. or 2. which is it? 2 full octaves

Or, one of these: www3.alembic.com/img/trip_frontview.jpg ... only 11,680. Hell, any Alembic. A 12, 15 or 18 string would be cool as hell to try, though I don't think I would own one. Be bloody expensive to restring. I still really wanna try an Ergodyne though.. a bit more in my price range too.
