it was mentioned on both the simpsons and south park.
on south park, they were all at kenny's house and then cartman was asking where the nintendo was and kenny's dad pointed to this really crap looking console and said they only had a calico.
in the simpsons, it was the one where lisa cheated on her test and got an a+++ and the school was able to get a scholarship, and then principal skinner showed lisa the new calico's they wanted to get for the school, and Ralph Wiggum was typing on one, and he turns to her and says "Hi Lisa! I'm learnding!" (and that is not a typo)
